On November 19, 2019, the Geophysical division held a Council to evaluate and accept the results of the implementation of work items in 2019 Project “Flying magnetometer – gravity ratio 1:250 000 sea and islands of Vietnam” chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Long. Implementing unit: Aeronautical Geophysics Team.

This is the second year that the project has carried out magnetic-gravity flight. The equipment used is a new modern machine system invested by the project’s capital with high accuracy and stability. The unit has completed the flight measurement and data collection from – gravity ratio 1:250 000 of Vietnam’s seas and islands according to the delivery plan in 2019 with the volume, quality and schedule meeting the requirements, establish magnetic field and gravity field maps on the construction area.

The results of the project will be a valuable source of documents for studying geological structures, searching and evaluating minerals, asserting sovereignty over sea and islands as well as serving as a database for national defense and security in the waters of Vietnam. Country.
