Implementing Project 02/DA-CDN dated July 14, 2026, of the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of Agriculture and Environment on the recruitment of union members and establishment of grassroots trade unions at units under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.
On the morning of July 29, 2026, the Trade Union of Agriculture and Environment solemnly held a conference to announce the Decision on admitting new members and establishing a grassroots trade union.
Attending the Conference were Comrade Nguyen Ha Xuyen – Chairman of the Agriculture and Environment Trade Union, along with members of the Standing Committee of the Agriculture and Environment Trade Union, and representatives from the grassroots trade unions under the Vietnam Geological and Mineral Resources Department.
Overview of the Conference
Representing the Federation of Geophysics were Comrade Kieu Huynh Phuong – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Federation; Comrade Quach Van Hieu – Chairman of the Federation’s Trade Union, along with representatives from the grassroots trade union branches under the Federation of Geophysics’ Trade Union.
Comrade Nguyen Ha Xuyen – Chairman of the Trade Union of Agriculture and Environment, delivered a speech at the Conference.
At the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Ha Xuyen presented Decision No. 271/QD-CDN dated July 15, 2026, on the Recognition of the Trade Union of the Federation of Geophysics and Decision No. 272/QD-CDN dated July 15, 2026, on the Appointment of the Executive Committee and Inspection Committee of the Trade Union of the Federation of Geophysics to the collective Trade Union of the Federation of Geophysics, marking an important step in the development of the organization at the unit.
Accordingly, the Trade Union of the Federation of Geophysics was established on July 15, 2026, with 122 members.
The Executive Committee includes the following members:
- Comrade Quách Văn Hiểu – Chairman of the Trade Union;
- Comrade Nguyen Quang Thanh – Vice Chairman of the Trade Union;
- Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Nga – Member of the Executive Committee;
- Comrade Lai Ngoc Dung – Member of the Executive Committee;
- Comrade Do Thi Mai – Member of the Executive Committee;
The Inspection Committee consists of the following members:
- Comrade Nguyen Quang Thanh – Vice Chairman, Head of Department;
- Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Nhung – Member;
- Comrade Ngo Thi Thuy Thinh – Member;
Comrade Nguyen Ha Xuyen – Chairman of the Trade Union of Agriculture and Environment, presented flowers and gifts to the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the Federation of Geophysics.
The conference to present the Decision on the establishment of the grassroots trade union was held in a solemn, democratic, and unified atmosphere. The establishment of the grassroots trade union and the recruitment of members not only provides workers with an organization to represent and protect their legitimate rights and interests, but also contributes to strengthening the bond between workers and the unit, building a stable, harmonious, and sustainable working environment.
The conference also demonstrated the collective determination of union members to promote the role of the trade union organization, actively participate in emulation movements, successfully complete assigned tasks, and contribute to the overall development of their agency or unit.
