On the morning of January 24, 2025, the Federation of Geophysics solemnly organized the Conference of officials and workers in 2024 – 2025.
The officers and workers conference is an important opportunity for officers, officers and workers in the Federation to voice their voices, thoughts and aspirations, as well as those of their affiliated departments and units; Participate in providing comments for the 2024 Work Summary Report and directions and tasks for 2025 to promote workers’ ownership rights, contributing to building an increasingly developed, clean and strong Union.
Overview of the Conference
Attending the Conference, on the part of the Department of Geology, were Mr. Le Quoc Hung – Member of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of the Department; Comrade Ho Thi Thu – Vice President of the Department’s Trade Union and comrades who are Heads of departments under the Vietnam Geology Department. On the side of the Federation were comrade Lai Manh Giau – Secretary of the Party Committee, Head of the Federation; Dong Kieu Huynh Phuong – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Federation; Comrade Pham Quang Hung, Deputy Head of the Federation; Mr. Quach Van Hieu – Chairman of the Federation’s Trade Union and comrades who are heads of departments and units under the Federation and all 76 officials and workers of the Federation. With the importance of the Conference, all officers, employees and workers showed seriousness and high concentration throughout the conference program.
Overview of the Conference
To run the program, the Conference elected a Presidium consisting of 02 comrades: Lai Manh Giau – Secretary of the Party Committee – Head of the Federation, and comrade Quach Van Hieu – Chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions. The Presidium introduced 02 comrades as conference secretaries: Lai Ngoc Dung – Deputy Head of the Marine Geophysics Delegation and Pham Trung Kien – Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell of the Financial Planning Department.

In 2024, the Federation will unite, be proactive, creative, and strive to successfully complete political tasks according to proposed programs and plans. Accordingly, the Federation was evaluated for successfully completing its assigned tasks and was awarded the Certificate of Merit for excellent collective labor by the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment. At the same time, with the proactive management of the Federation’s leadership, the spirit of self-discipline, responsibility and innovation, the collective of officers, employees and workers has well performed and completed the political tasks of the agency; The quality of professional work is constantly improving.
On behalf of the Presidium, Kieu Huynh Phuong – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Federation presented the summary report on the implementation of tasks in 2024 and directions and solutions for implementing tasks in 2025 with the common goal of “Innovation, quality improvement, solidarity and discipline” to strive to excellently complete all assigned tasks.

The conference also listened to reports related to the Federation’s practical activities in the past year such as the Report on financial income and expenditure, the Federation’s welfare fund presented by comrade Quach Van Hieu, and the report on the work activities of the People’s Inspection Board presented by comrade Pham Van Hung.

With the spirit of democracy and responsibility, the Conference conducted discussions to contribute and build to complete the mission plan in 2025. The Conference heard from comrades representing departments and units under the Federation giving contributions to the General Report of the Conference. All opinions and presentations have constructive meaning, demonstrating the sense of responsibility to build an increasingly developed Federation.

After listening to the opinions of the delegates, comrade Le Quoc Hung – Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Geology Department, on behalf of the Party Committee and the Department’s leaders, acknowledged and appreciated the positivity and responsibility in implementing the assigned political tasks of the Federation. In order to continue to promote the achieved results as well as improve the quality in performing professional tasks, in the coming time, the Federation is requested to continue to coordinate with relevant units to promote the study of legal documents and regulations in performing professional work; At the same time, comrade Le Quoc Hung emphasized that the Federation continues to promote its strengths in geophysical work combined well with geological work in geological investigation and mineral exploration to successfully complete assigned tasks in 2025 and the following years.

On this occasion, the Conference also commended and rewarded collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in Party, Trade Union and Government work in 2023.
