On September 24, 2019, the Administration of Basic Investigation of Seas and Islands – General Administration of Seas and Islands of Vietnam organized an inspection of the implementation of the project “Magnetic-gravity measurement flight of 1/250,000 sea scale. and islands of Vietnam” under the “Master plan on basic investigation and management of marine resources and environment until 2010, vision to 2020” implemented by the Geophysical division. Chairman: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Long. Implementing unit: Aeronautical Geophysics Team.
This is the first project of Vietnam in general and the Geophysical division in particular to carry out magnetic flight measurement combined with gravity measurement for basic geological investigation and mineral search.
The project uses the most modern machine and equipment system today, equipped since 2017 with many outstanding features, stability and high accuracy.
